will Rhem Jr.

Will Rhem Jr. is a dancer, choreographer, actor, writer, musician, and creative spirit. A military brat, born in Frankfurt, Germany and raised in the Gullah Islands of Beaufort, South Carolina.

Growing up in a traditional African background, he began stepping at the age of 7 and found a love for playing wind instruments at age 11. After year of studying music he received a scholarship to play the trumpet for Bethune-Cookman University all while earning a B.S. in Psychology. His award winning bachelors thesis landed him a full academic scholarship to graduate school at Florida A&M University to further his education in behavioral health sciences. After one year, his heart led him to pursuit a full-time career in the arts and entertainment industry.

At the age of 22 he began intensive training under the direction of Leyvon Campbell and Allyne Gartrell. After only 2 years of non-stop dance training, he was hired at PHILADANCO! The Philadelphia Dance Company. He has gone on to dance for major recording artists such as Janet Jackson, The Jonas Brothers and J.Balvin, along with performing nationally and internationally in countries like Japan, France and Spain. He has worked with choreographers such as Jennifer Archibald, Rennie Harris, and performed classic works by choreographers such as Christopher Huggins, Tally Beaty, and Gene Hill Saigon.

Will's experience of performing as a professional, helps him to be an effective teacher. He enjoys teaching jazz, modern, hip hop, contemporary and ballet, all while being a certified bungee aerialist instructor, an American Ballet Theatre affiliate teacher, and resident choreographer with the Beaufort Dance Company. He has taught for programs such as Dancewave, NY Kids Fest, and ABT. Before landing a contract on Broadway he was the arts camp director and assistant director of dance at Harlem School of the Arts.
