THE WRD OUTREACH

THE WRD OUTREACH is a community-based arts education initiative powered by THE WRD CREATIVE LLC, founded by multidisciplinary artist and educator William Rhem Jr. We deliver movement-centered programming that uses creativity, expression, and embodied learning to engage students both artistically and academically.

Our approach helps students strengthen focus, coordination, and confidence — while also reinforcing classroom learning. Through rhythm, repetition, and physical storytelling, we support skill-building in areas like literacy, emotional regulation, and even pattern recognition used in math and science.

Recent Programs Include:

Hour Children (Long Island City, NY) – movement and creative expression workshops for youth impacted by incarceration
P.S. 200 (Harlem, NY) – school-day residencies integrating dance and academic support
Democracy Prep Charter High School (Harlem, NY) – arts-based workshops that blend creative discipline with performance

We partner with schools, nonprofits, and youth-focused organizations across NYC to make arts education more accessible, engaging, and transformative for the next generation.
